Help with your
group card
How to create, sign and send a card.
Create a card, invite people to add their messages, then send the finished card to someone special.
Get started in four steps
- Create an account and verify your email address.
- Choose a category, recipient, cover and message on the card creation page.
- Share the signing link or QR code with the people contributing.
- Preview the card, seal it when everyone has signed, and share the finished card with the recipient.
You can log in and create drafts before verifying your email. You must verify it before sharing or sending cards. Signers and recipients can use their card links without creating an account.
Choose the person & occasion
- Enter the recipient’s name.
- Click a main category to see its occasions. Opening another group closes the first. Choose the occasion that fits your card.
- Select a related cover design, when available, or upload your own. Only designs for the selected occasion are shown.
- Add an optional organiser name and date, write your cover message, and choose a colour. The example message changes with the occasion; your own text stays yours to edit.
- Optionally add music or a video, review the Terms, and create your card.
The date field records your intended date. It does not automatically email or seal the card. Return to My cards to manage it and send it when you are ready.
Occasions are grouped under Career & Workplace, Life Events, Care & Support, Seasonal & Holiday, Recognition & Culture, and Other Occasions. Available categories and designs may change as the library grows.
Choose your cover
For an exact fit, prepare a landscape image at 1128 × 800 pixels. You can also upload a different shape and adjust it in the preview.
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image, up to 10 MB and 16 megapixels.
- Drag the image or use the position and zoom controls to frame it. Keep important text and faces inside the crop.
- Check the preview before creating the card. The selected area is saved as a JPEG cover.
A custom cover replaces the selected library design. Upload only images you have permission to use.
Add music or a video
Music: select a track from the music library and use the audio controls to listen to a sample. Administrators upload the MP3 tracks; ordinary accounts currently choose from that library.
Your video: upload an MP4 of up to 10 MB and 60 seconds. Use H.264 video with AAC audio, if it has sound, and a maximum frame size of 1920 × 1080 pixels (or portrait equivalent). A video uses its own sound instead of a separate music track.
You can change music or video from the card’s management page while the card is open. These changes are locked after sealing.
Recipients click Reveal card to open the card and start its media. If their browser blocks playback, they can press Play. Signers can listen using the player on the signing page too.
The opening animation follows the selected occasion. Effects include confetti, balloons, hearts, stars, petals, leaves and waves. Some occasions, such as Sympathy/Condolence, have no effect by default. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
Invite people to sign
Open your card from My cards. Copy the signing link into your own email or chat, or let people scan its QR code. Anyone with that link can access the signing page, so share it with your intended contributors.
For individual invitations, open the invitation manager, add each person’s details, and use their individual link or QR code. You can send an invitation email when site email delivery is enabled. Adding someone to the list alone does not send an email.
The invitation list shows whether an individual invitation is waiting, opened or signed. Your plan’s invitation limit appears on that page. Contributions made through the general signing link may not update an individual invitation’s status.
Keep the management link private. Give contributors the signing link and, after sealing, give the recipient the finished-card link.
Write and sign your message
- Open the signing link or scan the QR code while the card is still open.
- Enter your name and write your message. The writing helper offers suggestions in heartfelt, funny or short styles; review and edit the wording before using it.
- Choose a note colour, draw an optional signature with your mouse or finger, and optionally add a photo.
- Review the Terms and submit your contribution.
Your name appears with your message even when you draw a signature. Adding media or drawing a signature alone does not submit the message: use the signing button to finish.
Preview, then seal and send
- Open the management page and check the signature count.
- Preview the reveal and check that everyone has contributed.
- Seal the card. This closes signing and locks music/video changes. There is no reopen control, so check carefully first.
- Copy the finished-card link and send it yourself, or enter the recipient’s email address and use the send button when site email is enabled.
The recipient receives a link to the online card. They open it and click Reveal card to see the collected messages, signatures and photos, with any selected media.
Use the print view to print the card or choose Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialogue. Paper and PDF copies do not play music, video or animations.
Your account and language
Use My cards to find cards you created and see whether they are open or sealed. Password fields have an eye button to show or hide what you typed.
After signup, follow the verification link in your email. If needed, open Verify your email to request another link. Check spam and junk folders too. Links expire, and repeated requests may require a short wait.
The site can suggest a language from your location or browser settings. You can change it using the language selector. Cookie preferences lets you choose whether to remember that preference.
Common questions
I did not receive an email
Check the address, inbox and spam folder. Request a new verification link if necessary. If the site says delivery is unavailable, contact support: an administrator must configure, test and enable email delivery. A successful SMTP send does not guarantee inbox placement.
Login says reCAPTCHA could not complete
Allow JavaScript and Google reCAPTCHA in your browser, refresh, and try again. v3 runs without a checkbox. If it still fails, contact support with the exact message. Administrators must use matching v3 keys, not v2 checkbox keys.
There are no images for my category
Some categories do not yet have library designs. Upload your own cover, choose another occasion, or send a template request.
My upload is rejected
Check its format, file size and dimensions against the cover or media limits above. Rename alone does not convert a file: export it in the supported format. The server may also impose a smaller upload limit.
There is no sound
Click Reveal card or the player’s Play control, check device volume, and make sure the card actually has music or video. Signers use the player controls manually.
I cannot sign or access a card
Check you have the complete link. A sealed card no longer accepts signatures. The organiser must verify their email before sharing. Ask the organiser for a valid link, or contact support if access remains unavailable.
What does “Too many requests” mean?
Repeated logins, email requests or other actions can trigger a temporary limit. Wait before retrying instead of clicking repeatedly.
Still need a hand?
Feedback can continue as a private conversation. Open My conversations on the feedback page to read replies and send another message. Support replies are labelled Williation Technologies Support Team. A numbered Feedback badge shows unread support replies when a page loads. Opening the conversation clears its unread count. Refresh to check for updates; email notifications are not sent.
If you use the contact form without an account, open and bookmark the private conversation link shown after submission. Keep it private. For older guest submissions, support can create a conversation link and share it with you.
Use Suggest a feature or category while logged in, or Contact and report a problem without an account. Include what you were doing and the exact error message. Do not send passwords, secret keys or private management links.
You can also email mail@williation.uk. For upload responsibilities and service policies, see the Terms, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Notice.
