Help & how it works
Create a card, invite your group to sign, and send the finished card yourself. Find help with music, reminders, plans and uploads below.
Getting started
Create a free account or log in before entering your card details. Your account keeps your created cards together.
You can create drafts before verifying your email, but you must verify it before sharing or sending cards. Guests and recipients can use their links without an account.
Creating a card
Enter the recipient’s name, open an occasion group and choose an occasion. Pick a related library design or upload your own cover.
Add your cover message, colour, optional organiser name and intended sending date. You can also add music or video and a reminder. Review the upload notice and Terms, then create the card. Find it again under My cards.
Your own cover
For an exact fit, use a landscape image at 1128 × 800 pixels. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB and 16 megapixels. Adjust the position and zoom, then check the crop. The selected area is saved as a JPEG cover.
A custom cover replaces the library design. Upload only files you own or have permission to use and share. You are responsible for your uploads and any copyright or other claims arising from them. Unsuitable or infringing files may be blocked or deleted.
Music and video
Choose a shared music track or upload your own MP3, up to 10 MB and five minutes. Personal music appears only in your own music picker and can be reused on your cards. People viewing a shared card using it can hear it, and administrators can review it.
An MP4 video can be up to 10 MB and 60 seconds. Use H.264 video and AAC audio, if present, at up to 1920 × 1080 pixels or the portrait equivalent. Video uses its own sound instead of separate background music.
Change music or video from card management while the card is open. Sealing locks these changes. Use Reveal card or the player’s Play button to start playback. Opening effects follow the occasion and respect reduced-motion preferences.
Sending-date reminders
Choose the intended sending date, enable a reminder and enter how many days beforehand you want the reminder email: from 0 to 365 days. Zero means the same day. Choose a reminder date that has not passed.
Reminders are scheduled for 09:00 UK time. A reminder due today after that time is queued as soon as possible. Delivery depends on the email service and reminder worker. You can manage the reminder from your card’s management page.
The reminder is for you, the organiser. No card is sent or sealed automatically. You must finish and send the card yourself.
Inviting signers
Open your card from My cards and share its signing link or QR code with your intended contributors. Anyone with that link can access the signing page, so share carefully. Keep the management link private.
For individual invitations, add the person in the invitation manager and use their personal link or QR code. Adding a person does not send an email; use the invitation email action when email delivery is enabled.
The invitation list shows waiting, opened or signed status. General-link contributions may not update a personal invitation’s status. Both kinds of signature count towards the card’s guest limit.
Signing a card
Open the signing link while the card is open. Enter your name and message, choose a note colour, and optionally draw a signature or add a photo. Review any writing-helper suggestions before using them.
Read the upload notice and Terms, then press the signing button. Selecting a file or drawing a signature alone does not submit your message. Your name appears alongside your contribution.
Sending and saving
Check the contributions and preview the card. Seal it only when everyone has signed: this closes signing and locks media changes, and there is no reopen control.
Send the finished-card link yourself, or use the recipient email action when site email is enabled. The recipient opens the link and reveals the card.
Use the print view and your browser’s Save as PDF option to keep a copy. PDF and paper copies do not play music, video or animations. There is currently no MP4 export.
Plans and billing
Free includes two cards each calendar month with up to eight signers each. The allowance resets on the first day of the month, UK time. Sealing or deleting a card does not restore the allowance.
Single Card costs £1.99 once for one additional card with up to 20 signers. It is useful for an extra card or more signers, without a subscription. A purchased credit is automatically used for your next new card on Free, even when free cards remain.
Plus costs £4.99 a month for up to 10 active cards with 20 signers each. Unlimited costs £9.99 a month with no card or signer cap. See Plans and billing for the current offer.
Choose a paid plan before signup to carry that selection into the account and checkout flow. After payment, wait for confirmation before starting another checkout. Paid upgrades apply after successful payment; downgrades take effect at renewal. Manage billing lets you cancel renewal and keep the paid plan until the paid period ends. An administrator-assigned licence may require support before buying a subscription.
Paid upfront for one year and renewed automatically each year unless you cancel renewal. Cancelling renewal does not refund unused time: your access continues until the paid year ends. Your statutory cancellation and refund rights are unaffected.
Annual Plus → annual Unlimited: Stripe credits the unused Plus time and charges the Unlimited price for the same remaining time. The upgrade starts after successful payment and keeps your renewal date. Stripe shows the exact adjustment before you confirm. Downgrades start at renewal.
Monthly → yearly starts after payment, with unused monthly time credited and a new annual renewal date. Yearly → monthly starts at renewal. To combine a downgrade with moving from monthly to yearly, first schedule the downgrade, then switch billing frequency once it takes effect.
Unlimited is subject to fair use. Use it for genuine group cards, not automated bulk creation, spam or activity that disrupts the service. There is no fixed card or signer allowance; suspected misuse may be reviewed and restricted under our acceptable-use rules.
Save 20% with yearly billing: Plus (yearly) £47.90 per year; Unlimited (yearly) £95.90 per year.
Account and language
My cards lists the cards you created and their open or sealed status. Password fields have a show/hide control. After signup, follow the email verification link; you can request a replacement if it expires.
Choose your language from the navigation. Cookie preferences controls whether that choice is remembered. This guide is available in all seven site language options, including right-to-left Arabic and Urdu.
Troubleshooting
Missing email: check the address, inbox and spam folder. Request another verification link if needed. Contact support if delivery is unavailable. A successful send does not guarantee inbox placement.
Rejected upload: check the file format, size and dimensions. Renaming an extension does not convert a file. Hosting limits may be smaller. No sound: press Play or Reveal card, check device volume and confirm media was attached. Blocked or deleted media will not play.
No cover designs: choose another occasion, upload your own cover or request a design. Cannot sign: check the complete link, whether the card is sealed, whether its guest places are full and whether the organiser has verified their email.
For reCAPTCHA errors, allow JavaScript and reCAPTCHA, refresh and retry. For too many requests, wait rather than clicking repeatedly. Contact support with the exact error if the problem continues.
Administrator guide
Admin tools require an administrator account. Card library manages occasion groups, example messages, cover templates, animations and shared music.
Uploaded media lists images, MP3 music and MP4 videos from users. New uploads show their uploader. Older or guest uploads without a recorded identity show unknown; the card owner is shown separately when known.
Search by filename or email, filter by uploader, date range and file type, and preview a file. Filters use UTC dates; older files use registration dates because their original upload dates were not recorded. Filters remain active when changing pages.
Block stops the file being served on cards and in media pickers. Restore makes an existing blocked file available again. Delete permanently removes it and keeps a moderation record. Enter a reason and your admin password; permanent deletion also requires confirmation. Copies already downloaded cannot be recalled. Scan registers existing files without inventing an uploader.
Users and activity tools manage access, roles and recorded activity. Activating an account does not verify its email. SMTP settings require a test and receipt confirmation before delivery is enabled. Keep billing and reminder workers running. Maintain reCAPTCHA v3 keys, legal settings and the feedback inbox.
Support and requests
Use feedback for feature or category suggestions and the contact page for problems. Include what you were doing and the exact error. Never send passwords, secret keys or private management links.
Read support replies in My conversations. Guest submitters should bookmark their private conversation link and keep it private. The unread badge updates when a page loads; opening a conversation clears its unread count. Conversation replies do not generate email notifications.
Review the Terms, upload policy and privacy notice for service rules and responsibilities.
